Company ProfileFounded in 1959 by James H. Kabler, Jr., Kabler Realty Company continues under the proprietorship of his son David Lindsay Kabler to provide personalized and expert service and representation to each client and customer. David has worked full-time in the real estate industry since 1973, developing very happy and grateful relations with hundreds of clients and customers who have benefited from his knowledgeable and professional service. The founder of our company, James Harvey Kabler, Jr., known to his classmates at Episcopal High School and the University of Virginia as "Cueball," first began his real estate career in 1954, with his father-in-law, Harvey Lee Lindsay, Sr., founder of Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate in Norfolk, Virginia. Harvey was the brainchild behind the initial development of Sandbridge Beach, a family beach resort located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean at the southern terminus of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Cueball opened his own real estate practice in 1959, when he took over from Harvey full-time the development and marketing of the properties in Sandbridge. Within ten years, he had expanded his development efforts south across the state line onto the Outer Banks of North Carolina in Currituck County. There, five more family-style beach resorts sprouted under his wings. Now comprising over 25 miles of oceanfront beaches in Virginia and North Carolina, his beach communities are prized by thousands of residents and tourists alike who flock to be near the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Since 1959, Kabler Realty Company has stood for truthful and fair dealing in all real estate matters with thousands of happy clients and customers who have relied upon our services. Cueball's second son, David, was raised in his father's footsteps watching from his earliest days the development work of his beloved Dad. Immediately after his graduation from Randolph-Macon College in 1973, David went to work under his father's guidance. When his father retired in 1985, David searched for another marketplace to expand the domain of Kabler Realty Company, opening his own office in 1990, relocating in the Town of Cape Charles near the southern tip of the Eastern Shore of Virginia. There, with his family of five children, David began working towards the revitalization of properties in a town that had seen much better days. Now, twenty years later, David recalls with pride the many instances of matching the right buyers with historic homes that required major investments in time, labor and materials to restore to their former glory. As well, he enjoys the friendships of many folks who can point to his skills and dedication in finding solutions to their real estate needs that have made an huge difference in their lives today. He hears often that it is because of his service that they have the wonderful home they enjoy today on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
